Technologically Challenged?

So, I was looking at my blog the other day, wondering what I could do to make it look a little more exciting. After looking at some options in the "page elements" section, I thought maybe I could add a slide show along the side. So I followed the directions and I just could not get it too work. After trying suggestions from the help section, it still wouldn't work, so I checked the conversation threads of people who had similar problems. There was so much technical jargon that I didn't understand. People were throwing around words like "widget." If I had to guess what a widget is, I'd say it's a cross between a witch and a little person, perhaps something you'd see in a Harry Potter movie or the Wizard of Oz. After a couple of hours of messing around with it, I give up. So forget the slide show! Then I thought I'd change the template. Nothing in the pre-made blogger templates caught my eye, so I asked Em where she got hers. I thought it would be something easy to download, but holy cow! The 3 page instruction sheet she wrote was all about some computer programming, which I know nothing about! (Thanks for sending it though, Em) I'm not totally computer illiterate, I feel very comfortable navigating a computer and the web. In fact, the computer is very good at telling me what to do, such as what to do to fix a hole in the wall, what good recipes to cook, what good books to read, and how to remove hard water stains from my shower walls. But for me to tell the computer what to do, now that's just frightening! So for the time being, until Emily or Carolee comes to my house to show me what to do, just sit back and enjoy Rounders 3, courtesy of Blogger.

That was hilarious. And Witch and midget=widget??? So funny. It seems I remember you and Janae, maybe, having a thing for midgets. Am I wrong? Sorry my instructions were so "helpful!" I totally couldn't even do it using those myself, if it were my first time, and I wrote them! BUT I love the new look, had no idea you can get the same effect with something from blogger-I didn't see anything when I look, hence the computer programming...

Em, you're right! I have a thing for little people! I'm not sure if Janae did too, but Dave definitely did!
